World Horseshoe Championship

Becker area resident and American Legion Member Mike Hoffman recently competed in the World Horseshoe Championships held in Weston, Wisconsin.

The tournament, which has been held continuously for nearly a century, draws competitors from around the world and is considered the pinnacle of horseshoe pitching skill. 

Hoffman, who competed in the Elder's P Division, was seeded 7th in his class going into the tournament but ended up taking 4th after a grueling schedule where he pitched 5 games a day for 3 days in a row. 

When Mike isn't competing in the World Championships, he can be found throwing locally with Clank & Thud at the Becker Legion.
