Commander's Corner
Legionnaires:
Welcome to our new members Lee Croal and for joining Post 193!
Had nominations at last month but still can nominate others for Post officers. We will vote this month. Remember voting is for the person that will do the BEST job for our post and come to meetings and give us their reports. We will also discuss color guard for volunteers at meeting.
May 21st we will give out our two scholarships at the school scholarship night.
May 19th the Benton/Sherburne County council will meet at Post 193. There will be a supper before the meeting, and all veterans are welcome as always.
May 7th members loaded the second DAV trailer. Thanks to all those that helped load!! The earnings go into the general fund for post usage. It may be a small dollar amount but it all counts to pay the Post 193 bills.
Our 6th District Convention will be June 7th at Brainerd.
Becker Freedom days preparations are still going on. Memorial Day schedule much like it has been in past. Will ask for funds to take out ad in The Patriot paper. Let our Sgt-at-arms know if you can help with color guard or firing squad or even help the Auxiliary clean up after lunch at the hall.
May 13th next meeting should last one hour. Hope to see you there.
For God & Country,
Commander John C Riebel, Sr.

Heavenly Father, thank you for all our many gifts and blessings!
Lord, we pray for our Nation’s leaders that all plans are done to help this “One Nation under God” continue to prosper by Your guiding hand! Lord, may we be ever mindful of the ultimate gift we have received by Jesus Christ rising from the dead. That we may comd to celebrate Easter by proclaiming, “He is Risen”! Enjoy the Gift.
God Bless all of You! God Bless America!

Hello Ladies,
Looks like April showers are going to bring May flowers. Hope you all have a blessed Easter.
We have several events coming up in May and June. Please be open to serving……it could be for an hour or two in anyway it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Nellie or Paula to help us.
In the month of May, we start out with our Memorial Day dinner on Monday, May 26th, we will be serving once the honor guard is back at the hall.
In June, we will be serving food on Friday night during the entertainment for Freedom Days, Saturday we’re doing walking tacos and of course making an appearance in the Freedom Day parade.
Sincerely,
Nellie and Paula
Sons of The American Legion
Greetings Sons,
We are off and running for this month. I would like to start by thanking all of the Legion family who participated in posting the colors for the Robotics' 2nd annual Regional Competition on the 4th & 5th. We looked pretty sharp!
Next on our calendar will be our last Luncheon of the season. The Becker Archery will be helping out on the 12th. Doors will be open to the public from 11am-3pm.
Thankfully, we don't have anything planned for Easter weekend. I think we all have earned a rest. I hope everyone has a nice & peaceful Easter. Our meeting will be on the 22nd. I hope to see many of you there so we can set plans for Memorial Day and Freedom Days.
My last note for you is that this month is on the Craft Sale. As of the 10th, the flyers have been sent out, the ad is set for the paper, and the Facebook event has seen a lot of traffic. So far, we have sold 16 spaces which will provide us with a full house. There will be many new items as well as fodd food for sale. Come one, come all and see what treasures you can find!
For God and Country,
Andrew J. Lee SAL Commander
